NSW: Easter crowds make beeline for Sydney Fish Market
Deep-fried fish and chips .. lobster and oysters for breakfast?
Must be Good Friday at the Sydney Fish Market.
Around 70 thousand people are expected to snap up more than 300 tonnes of seafood over
the long weekend .. making Easter the second busiest time of the year .. behind Christmas.
While fish are the biggest sellers .. a lot of prawns and oysters are going out the doors too.
NICHOLAS GEORGOURAS .. from Nicholas Seafood .. says his top seller is whole fresh
snapper .. and he has more than a ton of it.
And a wet and drizzling morning wasn't enough to stop some eager shoppers .. who were
first through the doors at 3:00 o'clock (AEST) this morning when the market opened.
The Sydney Fish Market will be open until 5pm (AEST) today and 7am to 4pm tomorrow,
Sunday and Monday.
