Vic: Twelve-year-old boy among five injured in head on smash

A 12-year-old boy and two adults are in critical condition following a head-on collision
in northern central Victoria.

Police say two others were injured when two cars collided on the Bridgewater-Serpentine
Road at Salisbury West .. northwest of Bendigo .. shortly after nine o'clock last night
(AEST).

The drivers of both cars and a 12-year-old boy were flown to Melbourne hospitals in
critical condition.

Two other men .. believed to be passengers from the cars .. were taken by road ambulance
to the Bendigo Base Hospital.

The road was closed between the Calder and Loddon Valley highways.
