Just who is Bennie Bunsee to accuse those communities wishing to protect themselves from crime in South Africa of being racist? His argument that gated communities are racist (November 10) and his diatribe against white people is a pathetic attempt at disguising the fact that the ANC government has failed to protect South Africans from thugs.
All communities are affected by crime and the poorest are the hardest hit because they cannot afford burglar bars and private security. This should answer the question of whether gated communities are of use in areas such as Gugulethu, Rylands and Khayelitsha because these are the communities …
