Vic: Police search for missing girl

Police hold fears for the safety of a nine-year-old girl who went missing from her
house in Melbourne's south yesterday afternoon.

Victorian police say the girl left her house in Glenola Road, Chelsea, about 2pm (AEST)
and has not been seen since.

Patrol units searched the bayside suburb overnight and now believe the girl might have
boarded a train.

She is described as 120 centimetres tall with brown hair which is in a ponytail when
she disappeared.

It's believed she was wearing a beige jacket with a fur collar and cuffs, a blue long-sleeved
shirt, black pants with pink cuffs and black boots.
